Mykonos Princess: Chic Boutique Hotel in Agios Stefanos

by ElenaSergeeva

There is no shortage of boutique stays on Mykonos from contemporary to traditional or a delicate blend of both. An island where Cycladic chic meets modern elegance. Mykonos Princess Hotel is destination where idyllic scenery with spectacular Aegean Sea views comes together with Myconian charm, the result? A chic boutique hotel in the village of Agios Stefanos, just a 10 minute drive from Mykonos Town — the heart and soul of the island.

The graceful white cube-like houses are perched on top of a hill opening up to mesmerising Mediterranean views. At the heart of the hotel guests may enjoy the hip pool which overlooks the Mykonos Town and the surrounding villages.

The 31 rooms and suites are minimal and modern, the white and light tones of grey add a more bright and airy feel to the space. Our standard double room (104) was located right in front of the swimming pool which can get quite crowded as the hotel is very popular among friends traveling together for bachelor and hen parties.

The open space bedroom and bathroom are separated by a wooden screen, there is a large sink and a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower. There are plenty of towels, bathrobes and slippers in the room. The toiletries are Apivita.

There are twin and queen-size bed guest rooms with Coco-Mat  mattresses, there is also a pillow selection menu. There is also a mini-bar, espresso making machine and safe box in the room. Wi-Fi is complimentary.

Upon arrival we had a welcome treats in our room, two small glasses of water with a spoon of white sweet paste known as the Submarine sweet in Greece, as well as a plate of loukoumia — a traditional sweet delight.

The hotel features other room type accommodation such as Junior Suites, Honeymoon Jacuzzi Suite with a private hot tub and the Exclusive Princess Jacuzzi Suite.

Dining and Wining at Mykonos Princess Hotel

The hotel’s main poolside restaurant Kapari is an all-day venue serving breakfast, snacks and a creative dinner menu. Here guests can enjoy a selection of both international and Greek locally sourced bites. We had a Mojito chicken served with potatoes which was very tasty and tender and my friend Marissa had a chicken pasta dish.

There is also a creative cocktails menu. I tried the Slim Fit made with Beluga vodka, fresh pink grapefruit juice and pink grapefruit soda.

Breakfast is served à la carte offering a selection of cereals, dairy products, croissants and french toast.

There is also a good selection of egg dishes such as eggs Benedict, Florentine and Kagianas which is a typical Greek scrambled eggs cooked with tomatoes and feta cheese. I had the eggs Benedict topped with a nice Hollandaise sauce.

Location

Mykonos Princess Hotel overlooks Mykonos Town and is set steps away from Agios Stefanos beach.
